Transparent utfyllnad Selvagem Grande on 8thJuly 2005
Slowly we are approaching Selvagem Grande at midday on 8th July. The island much recalling of a small copy of Deserta Grande, the largest of the Desertas Islands, southeast of Madeira. Photo: Niklas Holmström
Several thousands of Cory's Shearwaters were seen at sea close to Selvagem Grande.

Before landing on Grande all on board fix, took a nap, a swim or just relaxing and enjoying the Cory's.

The high plateau (where some 26.000 pairs of White-faced Storm-petrels breed) which very much recalling a mountanious moor somewhere in Western Europe or Scandinavia.
